I'm not a huge guy, so perhaps the Plugfones don't fit me perfectly. I do wear ear plugs frequently, so I do know how to insert them properly.
The plugfones do reduce exhaust noise from my motorcycle which is great, and they are reasonably comfortable. As earphones, they are fairly average. If they are not inserted perfectly, there is no bass at all. When you put your helmet on, a little bit of wiggle can disturb the perfect placement which means no bass will be heard. This is with the silicon tips.
With the foam tips, it's even worse. You can't compress the foam enough to really get a good fit, as the earphones take up most of the space inside the foam.
For $38 they are great. Knowing the sound quality is hit and miss I probably wouldn't buy the more expensive Bluetooth wireless version.
But realistically, do they reduced ear damaging noise? Yes.
Can you listen to music through them at a sensible volume? Yes.
Are they priced competitively? Yes.
Should you buy? Yes.
