Works just as described, can hear normal conversations perfectly fine, whilst background noise such as motors, generators and compressors are muffled. On the second day of owning these I happened to be wearing them whilst operating a fire appliance pump at a grass fire when some blank ammunition cooked about two metres away, all I heard was a small 'pop' while other firefighters were clutching at their ears. I wear these all the time now and I'm really glad I got two pair. Takes a bit of practice getting them in your ears properly and personally my right ear gets a bit of a sore spot after about an hour but a small slight considering the cost of losing your hearing.

Yes I found this product excellent and inexpensive

After some internet searches I came across Earjobs and their product range. These things did a great job at the Melbourne Grand Prix and I’m glad I purchased them. They were comfortable to wear while still allowing conversations between people. 10/10 will purchase more products from Earjobs.
