Why is hearing protection essential for shooting?
Gunshots are extremely loud — often exceeding 140 decibels, well above the threshold for permanent hearing damage. Even a single unprotected shot can cause lasting harm. That’s why hearing protection is non-negotiable for anyone participating in shooting sports, whether you're a beginner at the range or a seasoned hunter.
Shooting ear plugs are designed to reduce high-decibel impact noise while still allowing you to hear range commands, conversation, or environmental sounds — so you stay safe, protected, and aware of your surroundings.

Preventing Surfer's Ear
Surfer’s ear (exostosis) is a condition caused by frequent exposure to cold water and wind, which triggers bone growth inside the ear canal. Over time, this growth can narrow the canal, trap water, and lead to recurring ear infections, hearing loss, or the need for surgery.
The best way to prevent surfer’s ear is by protecting your ears every time you surf, especially in colder water. Wearing surf-specific ear plugs helps block wind and cold water while still letting you hear ambient sounds — so you stay safe, comfortable, and protected in the lineup.

What is swimmer’s ear?
Swimmer’s ear is a painful outer ear infection caused by water getting trapped in the ear canal. It creates a moist environment that allows bacteria or fungi to grow, leading to inflammation, itching, and discomfort — especially after swimming or prolonged water exposure.
The best way to prevent swimmer’s ear is to keep water out of the ears using well-fitted swimming ear plugs or a swimming ear band. These create a barrier that stops water from entering the canal in the first place. After swimming, gently dry your ears and tilt your head to let any remaining water drain out.
