Description

- Premium compatible replacement tips for the EP10 available here

Highly effective, ultra-comfortable, and reusable EP10 Sonic Defenders®Ultra Max earplugs provide the highest level of hearing protection of any earplugs made by SureFire—an extraordinary Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 30dB! These “full-block” earplugs feature soft memory-foam Comply™ Canal Tips that seal in the ear canal, blocking out potentially harmful noises and providing all-day comfort. They are an excellent choice for industrial, tactical, recreational, and everyday applications where maximum protection against continual noise levels is desired and the ability to hear ambient sounds or conversations is not a priority.*

Along with soft memory-foam tips that expand in the ear canal for a near-custom fit, EP10s feature SureFire’s patented EarLock® retention rings, which “lock” the earplugs in place for a secure fit and hold that are unparalleled. And their smart low-profile design means they can be worn while wearing a mask, helmet, or even supplemental hearing muffs. Sonic Defenders Ultra Max are constructed of a soft, hypoallergenic medical-grade polymer that is comfortable enough to be worn all day and durable enough to provide an extended service life of six months or more, depending on usage and care.

EP10 Sonic Defenders Ultra Max come in three colors—black, orange, and clear—and are available as a single left/right set or in a box containing 25 individually polymer-bagged sets. Each set comes with an extra set of Comply™ Canal Tips as well as an attachable/detachable polymer lanyard and a convenient carrying case. EP10s are available in small (S), medium (M), and large (L) sizes, with proper sizing based on the dimensions of your ear’s concha bowl. Size “medium” fits most people, but to ensure the best possible fit, review the earpiece-sizing chart by clicking on the Sizing Chart image above.

For affordable, non-electronic hearing protection that’s re-usable and provides maximum protection, comfort, and retention, there’s no beating EP10 Sonic Defenders Ultra Max earplugs by SureFire.

*For hearing protection featuring Comply™ Canal Tips and the ability to hear safe-level sounds and conversations, use filtered foam-tipped EP7 Sonic Defenders® Ultra.

Key certifications:

NRR 30

An NRR of 30 means that the hearing protection is estimated to reduce noise levels by an average of 30 decibels across various frequencies.

'NRR' in hearing protection stands for 'Noise Reduction Rating,' which is a single value used to indicate the average level of noise reduction a hearing protection device provides across different frequencies, essentially telling you how much sound attenuation the earplugs or earmuffs will offer when worn correctly; the higher the NRR value, the greater the noise reduction level is considered to be.

NRR is primarily used as a rating system in North America, while Europe often uses 'SNR' (Single Number Rating) and Australia/New Zealand use 'SLC80'; which both differ slightly in calculation.
