WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?  

We ship daily Mon-Fri from our warehouse in Auckland, New Zealand. Orders are sent with next-day delivery via NZ Post Courier Post. Delivery to rural locations may occasionally take longer.

WHEN EXACTLY WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

If you order before 2.00pm Mon-Fri we will dispatch that day. If you order on the weekend or after 2.00pm on a Friday your order will ship the following Monday.

HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?

Shipping on orders valued $90 or more are free! Shipping on orders valued under $90 is $7.

WHERE DO YOU SHIP FROM?

All orders ship from Westgate, Auckland, New Zealand. Orders are shipped with NZ Post Courier Post.

Returns

You must contact us before returning any item for any reason. We will refuse any package returned to us that does not have a properly issued return merchandise authorization (RMA) number on the outside of the package.

An RMA number may be obtained by emailing support@earjobs.co.nz. Our customer service staff is available to help you Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm AET.

Unless otherwise specified in the item description, within 30 days of the date the product is shipped to you, you may return any item other than the following:

* any item designated as a "trial pack"
* opened packages of ear plugs
* opened packages of earphones
* items sold as "B" Stock (including open box, customer returns, or discontinued items.)

A refund of the full purchase price, less a 10% restocking fee, will be issued within 30 days, provided that the item is in like new, sellable condition with all original packaging materials. Returned items will be inspected by quality control before a refund is approved. Any items not meeting the requirements for a refund will be discarded or returned to the customer at customer's expense.

For defective products, we will honour the manufacturer's warranty period. See the internal documentation of your product for warranty information.

Your refund will be posted to the credit card used to make the purchase within 14 days of receiving the returned merchandise. Although we generally post return credits much more quickly than that, please allow up to 14 days.

Description

Earjobs™ Comfy Wax Ear Plugs are made from cotton and lanolin. They provide a comfy fit into the ear canal while creating a snug seal against noise or water entry. Ideal for sleep, study, travel or noisy workplaces. Swimmers and bathers can keep water out of their ears.

An SNR of 23 means that the hearing protection is estimated to reduce noise levels by an average of 23 decibels across various frequencies.

'SNR' in hearing protection stands for 'Single Number Rating,' which is a single value used to indicate the average level of noise reduction a hearing protection device provides across different frequencies, essentially telling you how much sound attenuation the earplugs or earmuffs will offer when worn correctly; the higher the SNR value, the greater the noise reduction level is considered to be.

SNR is primarily used as a rating system in Europe, while North America often uses 'NRR' (Noise Reduction Rating) and Australia/New Zealand use 'SLC80'; which both differ slightly in calculation.

Product Care

Storage:

  • After use, place the ear plugs back into their original case or a clean, dry container.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Cleaning:

  • Wax ear plugs are designed for single-use or limited multiple uses.
  • If reused, ensure the plugs are free from dirt and debris.
  • Do not wash or submerge the putty in water, as this can degrade its effectiveness.

Lifespan:

  • Replace the ear plugs if they become dirty, lose their tackiness, or no longer form a proper seal.
  • For optimal hygiene and performance, consider using a fresh pair after a few uses.

Instructions

Insertion
1. With clean hands, remove the cotton wrapping from the earplug.
2. Gently soften the wax earplug by rolling it between your fingers.
3. Mold the earplug into a shape that fits comfortably at the entrance of your ear canal.
4. Place the molded earplug over the ear canal entrance, ensuring it seals effectively without inserting it deeply.

Removal

  • To remove, gently press behind your ear to loosen the earplug and carefully withdraw it with your fingers.

Usage Tips

  • Do not cut or divide the earplugs, as this may reduce their effectiveness.
  • If you experience discomfort or irritation, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

    They Really Work!

    No earplugs come close to ones made of wax! I find the wax ones actually stay in with a good seal for as long as you want while the others lose their seal really quickly. As someone who used to do a lot of night duty I quickly learnt not to waste my money on all the different earplugs sold at pharmacies (unless of course they sold wax ones which they rarely do).

    Better than earplugs

    Tight seal on the ear, i live next to a 4 lane road and am kept up all night by traffic. These are the only things that have managed to block out trucks and cars. Really good for mid to high range noise.

    Positive feedback

    Very comfortable to wear. Easy to put in... however i do use 1 and a half ball for each ear, 1 i find is a bit small and worried it could get stuck.
