I bought these for hunting and have found them to be a reasonable, cost effective compromise between your standard disposable ear plugs which block all sound and electronic muffs/plugs that don’t. I’ve used them shooting outdoors and they reduce the blast from a centrefire rifle to a tolerable level whilst still allowing you to hear softer sounds. I’d suggest wearing double hearing protection for shooting under cover. Based on sizing figured I’d be the standard size but was a little too tight for me, small was perfect.
